Album Summary
The Ultimate Collection is a compilation album released in the US by Motown Records in 1996. The collection features selections from the group's Motown discography recorded between 1969 and 1975, as well as a selection from group members Michael and Jermaine's solo output recorded during that same time period. This album is meant to serve as a condensed single-disc version of the 4-disc box set Soulsation! released in 1995.
The Ultimate Collection is a variant of a compilation released internationally in 1995 entitled The Very Best Of Michael Jackson With The Jackson Five, which itself was reissued in 1997 as The Best Of Michael Jackson And The Jackson 5ive - The Motown Years, with a slightly different track listing.
